Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Production 
Status: Full Time 2nd Shift
Supervisor: Plant Manager

Purpose of Position: 
Directs activities of filling, blistering, stretch packing and assembly lines in an efficient manner in order to achieve desired quality and quantity levels.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervises activities of assigned subordinates
  • Directs subordinates with respect to production volume, cost and quality meeting production schedules and delivery dates
  • Stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity of production personnel
  • Confers with Production in establishing work schedules for all production departments
  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and GMP requirements
  • Schedules overtime as required
  • Arranges preparation and maintenance of appropriate production records
  • Maintains good employee relations.  Taking proper and judicious disciplinary measures as required.  Assists in handling first step grievances.
  • Establishes performance goals and accountabilities, and obtains concurrence of line personnel
  • Reports any safety concerns for immediate action
  • In a growing organization like ours, adherence to set policies is a must.  However, to ensure a smooth running operation, modifications, discontinuations or changes will be made to this position description as necessary
Equipment:
  • Good working knowledge of filling, blistering and stretch packing equipment
Education & Qualification Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge of RF Sealing, Blistering and Stretch packaging equipment
  • 5 years minimum experience supervising manufacturing functions
  • Bilingual a plus – English and Spanish
  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills
  • Occasional overtime
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • The legal courtesy of leaving the company with clean hands including all details, materials, listings and records pertaining to the company and its clients.

Responsibility:
Conduct yourself consistent with company work rules and/or policies/procedures along with department management guidelines.

 Work Environment:
The employee works in a production setting but spends some time in an office setting.  Considerable walking and standing is required in performance of his/her duties.
